The Business Problem

Most lash and nail studios in the category compete on the same handful of claims — "premium," "luxury," "professional" — without a specific reason to believe any of them. Let's Lash's actual differentiator isn't a claim, it's a specialization: the studio is one of the few in the area with deep expertise in Russian Volume lash extensions, alongside classic technique, delivered by highly trained technicians with a consistently high client satisfaction and repeat-client rate.

That's a technical, earned differentiator — not a mood board adjective. The identity's job isn't to invent a personality for the brand; it's to get out of the way of a reputation that's already built on skill, and present it with the same precision the service itself requires. The audience reflects that: unisex, spanning ages 15 to 60 — a studio trusted across a wide range of clients, not a niche aesthetic sold to one demographic.

Why Navy and Gold — By Design, Not By Default

The palette was a deliberate choice to compete on symbol, not on color. Navy and gold are common in the beauty category — and that's precisely the point: the identity isn't trying to win attention through a bold or unconventional palette. It's built to read as composed and professional first, with the mark itself — not the color story — carrying the brand's distinctiveness. That's a different kind of ambition than originality for its own sake. The goal wasn't to be the most novel logo in the category; it was to be correct: well-constructed, well-balanced, and legible at every size and application, the same standard of precision the studio applies to its own technical work. Discretion, here, isn't a lack of a decision — it's the decision.
